sorry if this is a silly question, but is it possible to arm a track then have it automatically record when audio comes in? And not have to hit the record button?
I think I managed to do this a while ago, but Im completely at a loss as to how I did it.
thanks all

You may be looking for the "Start Recording on Scene Launch" function. Go to preferences, then Misc. There is a button under the heading "Behavior" that says "Start Recording on Scene Launch". Turn that on.

How 'bout an automatic clip launch if you exceed a certain decibel threshold on your audio monitoring?
You could always use the function that punches in and punches out in a certain timeframe. Otherwise, get some sort of a MIDI foot pedal controller with which you could launch the clip recording.

Yeah, it's funny that you should say that. My first impression was that's what he was looking for. My S6000 has that feature. "Threshold Trigger" record. Live doesn't do that though.
