Sending a '0' value for sub-bank for Roland synth

Post by vgermani » Thu Dec 22, 2011 1:36 am

Hi, I have been told to change patches on my Roland V-Synth I need to send a bank (cc#0) value of '87' for the first bank along with a sub-bank (cc#32) value of '0' (MSB/LSB). When I look at the sub-bank values available to select, there is no '0'. It starts at 1.

What's the deal? I'm sure people have used Live to change Roland patches before. How do I send a value of '0'??

Thanks for your help!

Figured it out. Sending a sub-bank value of '1' is actually sending a midi value of '0'. I think it has to do with what your equipment can handle. Some start at 0-128 and others are 1-128.
