Can you set-up Preset bar time when opening live?

By this I mean, whenever i open a midi track it opens with a preset of one bar to work with and I usually need 4 bars so i have to pull it back and set it up to 4 bars. I was just wondering if there was a way to set it up so that whenever I opened up a midi clip/instrument (to write midi notes on) it would open up a 4 bar loop instead of a 1 bar loop?

Isn't there a way to define a set of clip defaults? I forget how it works exactly but I believe it's possible.
