Two Ableton "startup-modes"

I use live in two different ways, either as a live tool and playing clips etc in session view, or as a production tool using the arrangement windows.
I never use the session view and the clips when producing so it would have been nice to use that space for something else!
Like expand the mixer/FX chains like in other DAW's there instead of the "clips".
Something like this:

And I'd really like the ability to see which tracks are mono and stereo.
