Question about ASIO buffer size

When I start Ableton Live 8, everything is fine. After maybe 5-10 minutes, though, I start getting the odd snap, crackle and pop. From then, it gradually gets worse and worse. The way I have to stop it is to open the ASIO (v2) control panel and close it again. This seems to reset whatever it is causing the problem and buys me another 5-10 minutes before the problem returns.

I'm using an audio buffer size of of 256 samples. I have tried increasing to the maximum 2048 samples but the problem persists.

What might be causing this?

try 1028ish..thats where i leave it, unless recording, when i use 128-256

the 5-10 minute thing...idk

What audio interface are you using? Do you have the latest drivers for it?
