I (and our 3 reps, Keith, and the sales team) will be there the whole time (minus a few breaks). Stop by any time!

looks so great, getting one in spring for sure
is there a software with it as well, midi-customizer bridge to Live?
where are they being manufactured? just curious

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
Hopefully, someone going to NAMM will shoot a video of a demo of QuNeo in action controlling Live... can't wait.
Wow, $895 to go and $100K is actually happening...

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
Hi,
We're avoiding a midi-bridge software, with more of an emphasis on standalone customization... Our editor will be more for customizing the board, with customizable max/MSP and other code so that you can build your own software... We've found midi-bridge software to be less useful than standalone functionality....
The QuNeo is being manufactured in China, so we can keep the cost down... We have a really good relationship with the factory that builds our stuff. They're great people....
Thanks for helping us push past 100K!!!!!
Keep up the support!
Thanks,
Matt @ KMI

Just to clarify, there is software, but it wont need to be open to use QuNeo!

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
Thanks Matt.
I would love to see a video of just focusing on one pad using let's say a snare and then really working said pad. Then bring in a delay controlled by one of the left circles or strips and work it increasing delay amount while you're still working both area and pressure of the snare pad. Could be really cool.

"Update #13 has QuNeo working track and effects levels with muting, transport control, scratching and crossfades. All sliders, rotaries and switches are pressure sensitive allowing QuNeo to understand double taps, swipes and other gestures other hardware controllers cannot sense. The 3rd Dimension is very useful."

Matt, amazing watching this latest performance.
Which member of the Team is doing the demo?

Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
I know this has been touched upon, but watching that video just hammered home how I'll never be able to buy one of these things as long as the colors scheme is so fugly. It's too bad because the functionality really seems amazing.
Here's hoping there's some improvements to the looks as I'd like to pick one up. Otherwise, here's a good product tagline: QuNeo - world's first rasta controller.

Hi!
The demo was me (I make music as Wake or Proximal Records), though I made the set with Jasmin Blasco (our LA rep)! Crazy set in ableton--- lots of follow actions and fx chains...
If you're at NAMM you can play with this set!
Thanks for the kind words... I'll be making a few more of these in the next few days-- reaktor and logic are next. Our resident VJ (Sarah Howe, tech support at KMI) will be doing a live video processing demo too.
Good stuff! We've been working our butts off out here in Berkeley!

WOW that looks fun
any thoughts for a 1'x3' version for the future?
any thoughts for a 1'x3' version for the future?
Re: McMillen QuNeo looks to be everything I want in a controller
I would like to see more of the special QuNeo functions:
EVERYTHING in this demo can be done with 1 Launchpad (except maybe for the Rotary Sensor which did something really awkward and unmusical in this demo).Trigger Pads
16 square pads provide 127 levels of Velocity response. And X-Y location. And continuous pressure. For each pad. Times sixteen.
Rotary Sensors
2 rotary sensors allow you to scrub, trigger, stretch, pinch and play phrases and sound files, manipulate continuous controllers and more . Each rotary sensor measures angle, pressure and distance from the center.
Multi-touch Sliders
9 touch sensitive sliders can be mapped to fader and effects controls. LEDs within each slider act as VU meters or remind you where you were. Multi-touch lets you select a length between two fingers to set stereo locations or filter resonances. Tapping a slider can mute or toggle any track or function.
Switches
The switches are located in smart groupings to select samples, fader banks, and transport controls. Each of the switches can scan up and down through files at speeds variable with your touch. Great for quickly locating that perfect fill or telling your looper you really meant it.
I mean, its just some clips with follow actions and some midi mapping for a few effects right now - nothing what stands out or can't be done by any other midi controller.
Don't get me wrong - I really love the concept of the QuNeo but I hate to see a demo that doesn't smack all these supposedly amazing QuNeo functions and touch stuff in your face.
I really hope a much much better demo will come that will do something you can't do with a Launchpad or APC-20 for example.
Oh and yes, I saw the vid Matt KMI posted but that didn't show anything really :S Random noise instead of musical statements with a magnificent controller.
