How to 'save as' a Live set without a reg'd Live instrument?

A couple of years ago I owned 8 Suite but for various reasons sold it.

I now have Live 8 again and want to 'save as' an old song, that included Sampler, with Sampler removed.

I get the warnings on opening that Sampler is not authorised, which I know because I want to replace it. However, even having removed Sampler, Live will not allow me to save the Live Set.

Any idea's how I get around this please?

maybe if its an arrangement set, create a new one and import all tracks in the new live set with sampler removed and save as

Sadly it didn't work. All tracks apart from the one Sampler track import fine.

I just tried exporting the track as a midi file but that isn't possible either

how about you copy paste just the midi notes
ctrl+c in the original set
open new set
ctrl+v just the midi region on a blank midi track?
