Hey everyone!
So the question is,
I would like to start DJ'ing a little bit, but for that i need 2x sound out. one to my headphones and the other to the speakers. I actualy have 2x headphones out on my laptop. Is it somehow to possible to route these jacks so as i mentioned? I have looked into ableton settings, but it only gives me 1/2 out. so its only mono, but i would like to achive stereo.
or are there somekind of special drivers for the soundcard?
all the best.!!
2x jack out on laptop?

you need an external sound card. in my experience m audio fast track pro is perfect at it's price. I also have an old m audio card that was on board but i can't recall the model name.

No, you need two stero channels. This can only be achieved with a multichannel sound card. A splitter only doubles the output for one stero channel.levimoniz wrote:Would using splitters work?

ok, thank you for the info, i was actualy thinking about it, but wasnt 100% sure. but now i am.
actualy so far iv been using Roland UA-25 ex, and its done a pretty good job so im thinking about to stay with the company and just to change the soundcard. i was looking at the Roland Quad-Capture.
or maybe someone could suggest me something different with the same price tag right now i would get a new one for around 230 euros.

Take a look at the Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ. It has 2x 1/4" stereo outputs.
