is it possible to convert imac line in to extra output?

not really an ableton related question but it'd save me some serious $$ in the future. I need another output for my headphones for when I DJ in Ableton as well as the output that goes to the speakers. I was wondering if theres an app or program that makes it possible to change the mic/line in on the back of the imac to an extra out?

Mechanically it should work I think, the components are the same. Its just the business of getting it to become a second output recognized by the imac.

I figured out a work around for my problem. I'm going to send the master bus out out of 1 (left mono) and the headphone cue out of 2 (right mono) Then coming out of the headphone jack I use a splitter changing the 1/8 audio line into two females. From there you just need to make connections to the mixer and plug you headphones into one of the mono lines.

The only downside is that the mix out is mono, but to be honest thats a very minor issue for me. I don't use any stereo tracks and there shouldnt be any issues with phasing. By all means if someones finds a way to convert the line in to an output please post below, but this is just dandy for me
