Probably a stupid question about routing

Hello there.

Ok, basic situation: I want to sidechain a bus compressor to a bassdrum and I've chosen a third party compressor, just because I like the sound. I, of course still want to keep the original sound, so what I'm currently doing is creating an extra track which has an audio in from the bassdrum track and the out of the audio is then to the sidechain input for the bus compressor, which is great, it works, no problem.

However, in my view I have this little track that sits there just as a router.

So my question is, can i either a) make this track invisible or b) is there a tidier way to do this.
