iPad
Re: iPad
Just had a solid 5 second shiver fit while flashing back to the time period when LSZ got banned from this forum during the epidemic of regulars regressing to 5-year-olds and repeatedly doing what Ableton repeatedly requested they stop doing, and it was up to me alone to shoulder the weight of Apple reporting and commentary that this place demands. I don’t think I took a dump for like 6 days straight. I never felt so alone and yet so alive. It was that intense.

Windows 7 was young and working as expected.
there was only one iPad
...which could only run one app at a time.

I think the evidence and location of Martin’s ultimate demise is buried deep somewhere in this very thread.

It's a fun little app. They finally added CoreMIDI support and their own goofy WIST midi protocol.

Every single television that is unveiled at CES this year is going to be accompanied by talk of Apple’s device. Executives from other companies will try to deflect this talk, but they won’t be able to. Instead, they’ll have to stray into talk about “Apple forcing everyone to up their game” or worse “we’ll just have to wait and see”. The truth is that Apple — which again, hasn’t actually said a word about any such product — already has the entire industry scrambling.
Part of this will be the fault of the companies actually at CES. Oh look, an iMac clone. Oh look, a MacBook Air clone. And another one. And another one. Don’t forget the blatant MacBook Pro rip-offs too! And a few iPhone rip-offs for good measure. And 35 “iPad killers” that will ultimately kill themselves.

Imagine if every company had so much secrecy as Apple.
People would start going insane and probably kill each other on certain periods of the year, or whenever someone mentions an electrical device followed by an arbitrary number below 10.

Re: iPad
But in order to have that kind of secrecy you also have to have public excitement and demand for whatever you might have in your hopper.Komodovaran wrote:Imagine if every company had so much secrecy as Apple.

Here's the complete list of what fits that requirement.
1. Anything Apple does.
2. The next Xbox/Playstation
3. Led Zeppelin reunion tour
4. The second coming of Christ
Everything else is just plain meh except from those who want any of the above to fail at the hands of some competitor product.

Someone needs to rework some Lovecraft, imbue them with some more modern Apple-friendly themes.
