pitching less than a semitone in ableton - possible?

Post by BLuE_Lu » Mon Jan 09, 2012 6:37 pm

I have sample that just needs less than a semitone of pitch correction - so far I have only found the function to pitch complete semitones. is there another way?

If you look underneath the transpose knob in clip view there's a "detune" control in cents.

yep, detune in cents, or you could automate pitch bend values for microtonal melody lines. frequency shifter will work for one shot samples - but because its applying a single hertz shift to incoming audio its going to mess with your scale relationships on the output.

When you're changing the automation parameters, hold ctrl while dragging with your mouse. This prevents the parameters from snapping to the semitones
