Press play and it freezes.

I am running Ableton Live 8.2.1 on Mac OS X Lion 10.7. I will open up Ableton and everything will load fine but I try to press the play button or hit space bar and the scrolling indicator does not move, the software will not react to any of the hotkeys, freezes and crashes. It has worked just fine up until about a half hour ago when I installed Automap onto my computer so I could use my Novation 25SL MkII midi controller, I dont know if this could have caused it. Any solution or even a point in the right direction would be awesome, thanks.

Uninstall Automap again and see if it starts to work. This will at least tell you if that is the issue

I threw it in the trash and deleted it but I'm not sure if that would solve the problem.. Is there a way to uninstall it as if it wasn't there in the first place?

Not sure on mac, I'm PC.

I guess the only other suggestion is to get the latest version of Ableton from your account and install that and see if it springs back to life.
