epitome of a flash in the pan

she needs an expensive producer because she can't fucking sing, "particular dynamic range" my ass...watch some of her live footage, in a watermelon suit, offkey, utter crap

next month there will be another one take her place, and more power to em, cash in before people figure out they are (lacking)

and levi, i think you seriously underestimate people up here...i once put 16 bars together, sounded pretty good too..

you dont need to be a good singer to make a good song.
madonna was not at her best when she first started out, cyndi lauper has never had what most people would condider a nice voice. prince does he really have a good voice if you think about it?
the more i think about most pop singers dont have a great voice. its really about the song or the effect they are making with their voice not the voice itself..
so really anyone can sing.

all that said i cant stand anything katy perry has made.
but im also not 12.

yes. her insight into today's world is uncanny. never before has such depth entered the world of pop music and subsequently the hearts and minds of the listener. when i hear her name i squint and see millions of tiny plus signs.

i'm not going to self promote myself so that i can debunk your assertion that none of us know our ass from a hole in the ground and/or make any music.

you were clear in your assumption.

I don't think I understand this question so can you please rephrase it?
you seemed to take offense to my "review" of Katy Perry's music... do you suppose that the people she surrounds herself with stand around talking about how much she sucks? of course not. they praise her, lift her up, doctor up her vocals or whatever else it takes to make sure that they get paid and/or she sells music. you can love her or hate her, but it's clear that the engineer in question has a biased interest Nuendo... even if he's just a fanboy.

My view on it is that it's a business, and as long as the singer has some talent and isn't a stuck up bitch thinking she's the second coming and is down to earth and doesn't take herself too seriously then why not. She's aware of all that and is having fun playing her part. Music wise, I'm not in the market so I couldn't care less about that. She's an entertainer and she's doing her job. I do like her pipes though. She sounds like a woman, not a come-hither teenie.

Just because someone isn't mixing McHits doesn't mean they're any less advanced or successful.
Success is subjective and a McHits are practically pre-determined. Christ every hit I check out I'm hearing the same fucking chord progression and melody. Coincidence?
