MPK 49 Arpeggiator timing issue.
I recently got an APC40 and an MPK49..
Everything is.. EXCELLENT.... except...
When I turn on the arpeggiator, the timing is off.. I press a key.. and the arpeggiation doesn't start paying on beat, seems its delayed, more often than not.
No delay problem when using the MPK keys normally, only with ARP \ Latch.. turned on.
Any ideas?

Re: MPK 49 Arpeggiator timing issue.
There is a "Midi Clock" register in the MPK Menu. You can swich from internal to external but i´m pretty shure the mpk apreggiator only works when it´s used as a Master-Midi-Device..
Use the Ableton Apreggiator under Midi Effects in Ableton, much more flexibel

Re: MPK 49 Arpeggiator timing issue.
The arpeggiator on the MPK isn't anything terribly useful.
Syncing Live with the MPK's clock never works well so you will need to sync the MPK to LIVE to get it to work correctly. This will cause the Tap Tempo button to become useless (and it'll stop blinking all the time which is nice).
This is what I did.
On the MPK...
Press the GLOBAL button and press the > button until you find MIDI CLK
Change it to EXTERNAL
In Live... (this is what it looks like in Win7)
in Preferences MIDI/SYNC
Output: MPK46 output (Akai MPK49) should be set to ON ON ON
for TRACK, SYNC and REMOTE
This way Ableton Live will send it's sync signal TO the MPK49 and control the tempo of the built in arpeggiator/beat repeat and makes sure it's always with the beat.
The Ableton Live Arpeggiator MIDI Effect is far more flexible and much more fun to use though.

Did you get it to work?
Like I said, the one built into Live is way more useful anyway.
