Sampler looping and automation help?

1. Trying to figure out how to get Sampler to continuously play the loop, so I can keep my hands free to adjust Sampler parameters while it keeps looping the sample. I've seen it done in YouTube videos, just now sure how in the UI.

2. Also, is it possible to record Sampler automation? For example, when I changed the detune parameter smoothly while recording into a clip, it didn't seem to accept it. Maybe not all Sampler automation can be recorded? Or it could be because I was holding down a MIDI key to get the loop to work, causing the automation to keep resetting or something.

1....you need a clip with a continuous note in it, that clip set to loop...if you want the sample to play as it really is, unpitched, set 'scale' (bottom leftish of Sampler) to 0% instead of the default 100%...this means the note you have set in the clip matters 0%...

2...draw envelopes in the clip view for whatever params...or record the audio to another track as it runs through...or get it all set up running how you want and freeze/flatten the miditrack w/ the sampler on it..

Thank you! It totally worked. I just recorded a MIDI clip into a channel, and then extended it as long as I wanted it. Then did sustain loop mode in Sampler.
