You'll need a lot of drive space. There's a reason for the included drive (definitely not stream those samples) but to reduce installation time.BlackMath wrote:Pros: A ton of amazing instruments. effects and soundsnycmex77 wrote:

also I find that they are very cpu friendly.. in relation to other stuff (even Live devices)..
Komplete is the best bundle I've ever bought.. the pallette you get is HUGE !
the instruments are excellent.. some are second to none..
the question you need to ask yourself is "do I really NEED it ?"
I can see why MW is pissed at them..
NI have a history of product cutting/re-branding...
they seem to put a big emphasis on restyling their catalog often...
if you're on a MAC you've probably felt this the compatibility issues in a bad way..
and if your vst has been discontinued ...you'd have to get another machine to use those..
on PC ..not so much..
(at least until the next paradigm shift...which is not in the foreseeable future)
I can see how someone could be offended when an instrument gets it's life-line cut...
that said... upgrading Komplete every other version is working out fine for me..
I'm very pleased with the actual instruments and packs..
I wouldn't get 'ultimate' because I don't really need extra sample packs.. but the ones included in 'Ultimate' are top-notch..

that is only the case if you moved your NI samples around...or changed a drive letter or sumtin...and didn't update in the instrument settings..Forge. wrote:have to +1 machines
even on projects using the Piano presets (NY concert and all that) I can't even get it to *always* load up the same preset on the same machine with an external HD without me having to point it to it.
I'm trying to adapt this kind of behavior.. I found that there's almost no audio in my sets... but loads of vstis...Forge. wrote: But I think it's just a matter of course with these kinds of sounds to just freeze/render them as soon as possible. Especially if you are intending to use them Live.
Just because modern computers can run a million things at once, doesn't mean it's necessarily a good idea to do so
