Ableton File Structure

Post by Frankie latchkey » Mon Jan 16, 2012 3:07 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have been using Ableton live now since Live 6, I do find it very user friendly but one thing troubles me slightly.

You can see you have your audio effects, instruments, midi effects on the top folder, when you go into the library folders I also see again instruments under presets, the audio effects and midi effects are also in this folder.

Is this normal to have these in two places, there seems to be more under presets, especially in the instrument section.

Has this been created here when I have been downloading free packs etc?

I Hope this makes sense and that you can shed some light here.

Kind Regards,

Frankie :)

The Instruments, Audio Effects, and Midi Effects listed in the top portion of the browser are essentially shortcuts to the items in the folders you're viewing when looking at the Library folders.
