Hey dudes, I notice that AniMoog is now a relatively reasonable £1.99 , rather than the £20 something or more that it was until recently.
I've no idea how long it has been this price actually, but it's worth it.

I have most of the "big" iOS synths. However this "little" one is the only iOS synth I use when performing live. Its a true instrument! Its easier to play and some what more expressive then a midi keyboard or drum pads. And latency is great! If only it would send midi too, it could be used to play vsts..friend_kami wrote:well, all i know is that i tends to spend a LOT of time wit this bad boy here: http://itunes.apple.com/se/app/bebot-ro ... 09944?mt=8

Im trying to configure Thumb jam to operate like this. But even though parameters can be set on the x and y direction, you can not have pitch in one direction and filter and or pitch lfo/vibrato in the other. This combination is just brilliant with Bebot. Also its easier to play on an iphone then on an ipad. All those complex options on Thumb Jam, but it is still not close to the expressivenes of tiny simple little Bebot. <3
/rant over. Im downloading the iGOG!
PS. Why has this thread been so dead lately? Its like all the good stuff happened in 2010 and 2011..

iGOG review:
Meh. I got boored after 5 minutes. It misses about half of the hits when drumming on a table. Pretty much unusable for anything other then a 2 minute home party effect. Its possible to use the pads on the screen though. But you cant acess a single synth/sample parameter to adjust envelopes, and such. So your left with 6 standard rock kit drum samples. *Yawn*. The multi layered samples sounded temting, and they do sound ok ish. But hey, weve got Live and midi controlles! And loads of real iOS samplers.
iGOG could have been interesting and more usable if they added adjustable envelope parameters, and made it easy to add your own layered samples. Akai sample import or something of the likes.

Anything on the iPad similar to the Push layout for playing melodies and chords?

Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
It's crazy how much has changed in the iOS landscape in such a short amount of time. Audiobus changed everything. Again.
Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
The inter-app audio in iOS 7 is going to change everything even more. Again.

Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
One of the new features for Audiobus for iOS 7 is going to be connection presets so what apps were open and how they were routed will be recalled. Getting ever so closer to DAW host capabilities...
Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
I might hold back on iOS 7 for a bit.
Dear DJ,
iOS 7 is here, but it seems there are serious issues concerning audio. TRAKTOR DJ, along with many other audio apps, is experiencing performance and stability issues on iOS 7. Initial testing has also revealed general audio performance issues that can affect some Native Instruments hardware. If you use TRAKTOR DJ or audio apps, we recommend you don’t update just yet.
Please see this Knowledge Base article for more details. http://www.native-instruments.com/knowl ... +products.
Please also note that an iOS device cannot be downgraded to iOS 6 after being upgraded to iOS 7.
We’ll let you know as soon as these issues have been resolved.
Best regards,
The Native Instruments team
Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
So far the only issues I have with iOS7 is Traktor DJ lost my cue points (no biggy), and iMS-20 doesn't work, even after the new update yesterday. Otherwise everything is fine here. So far.

Re: The iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch Resource Thread
Some more information on iOS 7 inter-app audio from a Nave developer:
"Inter-App Audio will allow an app ("host") to let another one ("node") render MIDI data as audio with zero extra latency - like a DAW plugin
Further to soft synth nodes, there can be also effect nodes. Again, it runs within the buffer of the host app. No extra latency.
The host can store all involved nodes the project file.
Further, when the host app starts a node, the node stays in background. No app switching needed un less you want it.
Of course, Inter-App Audio can use internally some private APIs which AudioBus isn't allowed to use.
From the developer API Inter-App Audio is very close to the AudioUnit PlugIn API. Some parts are still missing, but it'll be completed later
Im comparison to AU plugins preset management & parameter handling is missing. But shouldn't be a big deal for Apple to add this.
Inter-App Audio and AudioBus have both their own strengths and point into different use-cases. IAA->DAW, AudioBus->app-chain
Inter-App Audio also supports exchange of transport control state, song position & sync data. A node app can remote control the host."
