How many fingers do you have?
What is 3x4?

Think about it ;)

It sure makes using Drum Racks more difficult, that's for sure.

Ever since the pads on the LPD8 won me over, I’ve been hoping AKAI would do more products with those nice backlit pads, so I’m chuffed to see them here.

I know, used the touch faders on Stanton SCS 3d and 3m. Wished someone would make regular 8 or 16 controller with those. Better then regular or motorised, specially for performance . You can do all what is possible with regular or motorised but also "jumps", crazy stuff.
I will prefer updated MPD 32 with those faders rather then bulky keyboard with silly 3x4 pads, hope they will do it.

I liked the touch faders on the SCS3s as well (worked with a freelancer and a friend at Stanton on the newer preset maps). That would be cool in a production environment, definitely.

Mine was delivered a week or so ago. I LOVE it. All features work as you would hope. Great controller for Ableton. Akai Connect software "wraps" all your VSTs and creates a separate version of the VST with [AC] after it. These versions have all the parameters of the VST mapped with the controller. Super easy to change them around, if needed.

I could definitely see gigging with this, a MacBook Pro and a Moog Little Phatty.
