Yes man,
had a listen already in the music-store and loving the sound.
If my TR6 ever will die, I´ll get the 20/20 Bas V3 or I´ll get them in addition... :D
I´m really happy that Event now produces affordable monitors again, cause the Opals are absolutely out of my price range.

Adam A7X, hands down. Super crystal clear. Bass extends well beyond the specified 42 Hz. Highs are amazing with the ribbon tweeter.

Are you going to decide based on answers in here? That's a very biased result, compared to statistics across the population as a whole.

hi komo

thanks for the feedback - no im not gonna decide based on just answers in here - i ve been having a browse this morning for monitors - these two, at the moment, are what i ve narrowed it down to .. and as this is the only forum that i kinda take part in then i thought i'd start by asking here -

cheers

i still have a set of old event 20/20bas which i was using for studio monitors until recently (not replaced with anything, just the 'studio' was in the garage, i hardly ever got out there) and are now in the living room with the big-screen TV, where they work great. afaik, the v3s are fairly similar to the old ones. i loved them... until i got a set of paradigm monitor 7s for the living room (no longer here.. my wife does not like large speakers, and they were pretty big). i still like the events for what they are, they are reasonably uncolored (perhaps a slight dip in the midrange) and have great bass response, and especially used original 20/20bas are pretty cheap, but the paradigms were just so much clearer. i'd imagine the A7s would be that kind of leap as well.

I have the Adam A5x's in a small room and they are crystal clear, with punchy lows, and perfectly audible subs. Best monitors I've ever used.
But as the man says, go listen to the A7x's n events and a few more if you can. I nearly ended up with krk rockits until i went and tested them all.

Yea I was initially thinking on swapping them for the A7x's in case I was missing something in the subs, but I've A/b'd them over and over with my Akg701's n they're absolutely perfect for my room. I can hear everything evenly. the extra size of the A7x's could cause problems in my room so im happy as larry.
The Ax's to me show up bad mixes straight away while good mixes shine.
Thumbs up.
