Behringer X1222 mixer to PA question..

Hello everyone, I hope your day is going well.

I'll get to my question, I want to have my korg emx and esx drum machines and a few other things i have hooked into my Behringer X1222 usb mixer to go into my laptop into ableton, then go through the effects i have setup, then go back out into the X1222 mixer and then out to my speakers that i have hooked into the xlr main outputs on the mixer.

Do I need to get an external sound card device to be able to do what I'm wanting to accomplish? From reading the manual, and looking at the diagrams I thought I had to have a 3.5mm cord coming out of the headphone jack on the laptop and hook a 3.5mm to RCA converter into the tape in/output of the mixer.

so nobody knows how i can route a Korg EMX drum machine into a Behringer x1222usb mixer, then route that into Ableton through effects and back into the mixer into the Nady FWA speakers?

good news!

as it turns out my mixer is technically an "audio interface" and it is capable of sending and receiving data at the same time!
sounds silly, but i really didn't know it was capable of doing that.
it also has some mic preamps in its first few channels but has a preamp included for the return in the usb.
