How to lock a clip view box in place?

Post by 82DMC12 » Mon Jan 23, 2012 3:41 am

Hey all,

I know I read how to do this in the manual but I can't find it now.

I have a few audio clips in a track. I am triggering them quantized to 1/16 using drum pads on my Cakewalk A300 controller. I also have the Transpose virtual knob mapped to knob R1 on my keyboard. The problem is, every time I launch a clip in a different track, it brings up THAT clip's Clip View and the transpose knob is then mapped to THAT clip instead of the original one.

Is there a way to "lock" the physical knob to the first box's virtual knob permanently? Or a way to keep the clip in question's clip view box locked to the bottom even while launching other clips?

Pretty sure there is, just can't figure it out.

Thanks,
Andy

Sorry but you cannot. May be a max4live workaround. I'm not knowledgable on that :)

Hey, that looks like it works! Cool. Is the reason you would want Select on Launch ON because you might have a controller with Automap so it switches to the new macros in a rack right away?

My controller, Cakewalk A300 doesn't have native support so I'm just assigning everything manually.
