Hi,
I'm running into an issue with Live 8. When I load a sample into a Drum rack, it sounds slightly different than if I load that same sample directly into an audio track.
I can load, say a kick drum into a rack with the no attack or release envelope settings [or with default release as well], drum rack instance set to 0.0db, with 0% velocity. It will sound slightly louder and more bright than if I load that same kick drum directly into an audio track.
If I A/B the tracks, there's a slight difference. I can't figure it out. I'm not running into any effects or compressors, this is a fresh track. Both tracks are set to -10dB.
I've done everything I know to make these samples play identically, but they're not. Need to figure out why they don't sound exactly the same between a clip and midi triggered drum rack. Please help, any input is most appreciated

Two things I can think of:
1. I'd assume that you have warping off. If not, that can contribute.
2. There is a "Fade" button and Hi-Quality button in the clip properties. You want Fade to be off. There may be an HQ button on your sampler also that you would want to turn on.
