Event Horizon
Re: Event Horizon
Thanks for sharing this.
Midway through the song, when the FM7/harpsichord sound and slow vibrato pad are working together, it's vaguely reminiscent of Jan Hammer-style stuff (with much less reverb), and of course Kraftwerk. Nice sounds.
The track's distinct "sections" seem to go on a bit long, given the lack of variation in the sound. If you want to keep parts of it as long as they are without changing the melodic structure of the song, what about some sonic modulation of the parts? Filter the drums, add some variation to the bass sound besides the flange that seems to be on it now, etc.
The song could use some more low end. The drums sound a bit overdry. Maybe some light reverb shared amongst the parts to help the track gel?

Re: Event Horizon
I agree with many of the points above. In addition - I think it'd be good to work on the drum sound. The kick is is need of some more depth, it felt very much like a programmed old school DR660, it just sounded very "out-of-the-box" to me.merges wrote:Thanks for sharing this.
