SUITE TRIAL AND PURCHASE CONFLICTS - RUBBISH!

Post by RCA1 » Thu Jan 26, 2012 11:12 pm

I created a few projects whilst using the trial version of suite.

I have just upgrade from 6-8. I didn't bother with the suite for now.

I completely uninstalled the trail version of suite and installed version 8.

When I try and open my projects Iam told they cannot be saved because analogue is missing.

None of the sounds in my project even used analogue, in fact I didn't use anything that comes with suite.

This is driving me nuts! Surely this is a bug or there is a work around?

...Further Development

I was also running the suite trail on my iMac. I had 18 hours left but I did a full uninstall using AppDelete.

I then installed 8 that I had purchased. When I launched it, I still got the 'do you want to continue with the trial"?!

So I logged in and authorised 8.

But now when I try to Repair Library it is installing all the suite extras!!! I DO NOT WANT IT TO DO THIS BECAUSE I WILL NOT BE BUYING THEM!

Both macs, now with issues.

Ableton SORT THIS OUT! So far, not impressed by this user experience.

Have you contacted Ableton support? They generally respond faster there than at these boards.

It is possible to just uninstall any instrument or add-on that Live installs in your prefs...

Just do your install, use the online registration then when installed, go to your prefs\library and remove what you don't want. Pretty simple.

In regards to not using "analogue" in your first post, are you sure you didn't happen to load an instrument rack or something that may have contained analogue?

If you paid for the software then you have, by rights, paid for genuine support. Use that to your advantage.
