Drum rack help please

Post by Schmidi » Sat Jan 28, 2012 8:59 pm

Hello, I'm really getting into rack/simpler (basically original instrument/patch) creation for live PA use and I'm not sure how to map something the way I'd like to.

In a DRUM RACK, I make my basic sample layout like this: (K= kick, S= snare, C= cymbals, P= percussion)
P P P P
C C C C
S S S S
K K K K

* I want to map MACRO 1 to the volume level of ALL kicks (like a fader group), Macro 2 for ALL snares...and so on.

I can't figure out how to do this, can you help me out?

Thanks

Quickest way in my opinion:
View the channels inside the rack that show volume and right click each one to select the appropriate macro assignment. This doesn't assign to the instrument within each channel, just the level for the channel itself. Less fuss than going into each one.
