Hi
Im lucky enough to own a new powerbook, fancy apple screen and an rme fireface....unfortunately when working on large projects I find the performance sucks. I know using lots of tracks, vsts etc uses power - thats not my problem - the weird thing is this: When using the laptop at home with none of the other gear (using the built in soundcard), the same project with the same buffer runs super smooth. I can even reduce the latency.
Added to this, when using the apple screen with a large project (on a buffer of 512 or 1024 samples) the apple magic mouse seems to float on screen...it feels like working in quicksand -I can never place the mouse pointer in the proper position and apart from really pissing me off, its giving me RSI. I bought a new mouse from microsoft and I still have this problem.
Anyone have any experience with this or know any workarounds....?
