the thunderbolt is looking like a match made in heaven for my Airbook in most clips I've seen
but at that price, why would one not get an imac instead?

so what's the comparison ?
my airbook has an i7 chip, 4gigs of ram, ssd drive

how does that compare to the lowest imac for $1199
it's got an i5 chip, but it's an 2.5GHz quad-core
500gig drive i don't believe is ssd
same amount of ram

being that it's a quadcore and my airbook only has 2 cores just how much faster than
the airbook does that make it? or is the strength more in my airbooks 1.8 i7 chip?

I love the design of the 27" display over the 21"imac, I don't like the grey bottom half of the imac but willing to overlook that.

My Time Capsule is starting to be unreliable but I read Apple might drop some NEXT LEVEL SHIT in their next gen wifi routers so I'm going to wait, unless it completely dies. But the next one I get won't be a Time Capsule because I never use the hard drive on the thing...the transfers are slow as fuck. :x

I wouldn't get the 21". The 27" is just insane in screen real estate. So in comparison to the monitor you're talking a base level of $1,700.

I tried playing Trine 2 (excellent platformer) on my 11" Macbook Air and within 2 minutes the fan started sounding like a B52, almost drowning out the audio from the game. :x You probably don't see Macs as a gaming computer, and that was more of just a test for me, but probably for the first time ever it made me realize there's certain things I shouldn't throw at the Air.

They need to just come out with a single box that does time capsule, airport extreme, and Apple TV all in one. I don't have time capsule since the Airport makes it easy enough to hook up any external to, but I still wish it was all in one. I use our wifi drive for our time machine back ups, my wife's at normal schedule while mine I do manually at the end of each night. It is very slow though, I still use a USB drive to share files between us most of the time. Sneaker net wins.

yeah but don't you think if i've got a G to spend that I might as well get the imac 21 over the monitor only 27, the imac is faster than my 1.8 i7 airbook isn't it?

Um.....

If you haven't grabbed Thumbjam for the iPad and iPhone, you HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT GREATNESS IS......

:x

Fucking UNBELIEVABLE quality samples and amazing control. omfg. Finally a decent trumpet sample that - coupled with the expressiveness of the controls - makes me sound like Miles Davis. Okay, that's a slight exaggeration but......
