The most classic version of Live 8
No doubt, Live 8 will be a classic. Which version do you think will be the most classic version of Live 8? Please enter your vote with arguments. In case I have forgotten some classic versions of Live 8, I will be happy to add them to the poll. Beta-versions excluded.
MBP OSX 10.6.8, Live 8.4, MFII, Evolver, Monomachine, Octatrack, APC40, Launchpad

Re: The most classic version of Live 8
Classic in terms of a classic bug fest from the early days, or classic as in will be remembered fondly by? That'll currently be 8.2.8 since it'll no doubt be out sometime soon, or whatever the final version is.
Or maybe 8.2.4 (was it?), that was only ever in beta then got replaced? That's "classic" from a rare collectors edition point of view I guess!...

8.2.7, its canonic and really existed when Bitwig didn't. good analogue sound when a soundcard was connected to an amplifier.
Re: The most classic version of Live 8
That's pretty hard. I guess I would either go with 8.1.5 or 8.1.4. They seemed a little easier on the RAM, less glitches (which I always have, loading lots of samples) than 8.2.8. Best 32-bit versions of Live! Why aren't these in the list? Where is the 'other' option?
Re: The most classic version of Live 8
please release Live 9 to give people something worth talking about.

8.2.7 had the best downsampled 128 bit of all. Good digital analog sound with a certain warmth and fuzziness you wouldn't expect.

8.2.8b2 was my favorite so far, only because briefly my "infinite duplicate max windows upon editing due to large amounts of samples bug" was no longer buggy.

I voted for 8.2.7. because it knows how to appreciate bacon sandwiches with HP sauce.
To be honest, since the nasty 8.1.xxx's bacon has never tasted so good.

Has to be AIR 8.1.3. Was more stable than Abletons version
Will be fondly remembered for widening Abletons customer base.
A Live for the masses if you will.

log walks, as in traversing the buglogs trying to figure out why the hell is randomly triggered stuff from it's cleared buffer?H20nly wrote:8.0.1 because that's when i met Looper. we used to go for log walks in the park and then watch the sunset and then watch the sunset and then watch the sunset and then watch the sunset.
