Slow startup after Pro Tools 8 LE install

HI all,

Sorry if this is a duplicate post - I searched and couldn't find anything on it.

After installing PT8 LE, all of a sudden Ableton Live now takes about 5 minutes to start up.

This is on a 2011 macbook pro running Lion

It hangs on the splash screen, saying "Initializing the application" for about 5 minutes, then proceeds to the main window as usual.

Not sure if it's related, but i also noticed a crashreporter process taking up a lot of CPU that restarts itself whenever I kill it, and a lot of messages in the console about MidiServer crashes every few minutes

Any ideas?

Hey Steve

Don't know if you've found the answer yet, but the same thing just happened to me. I solved it (after much pulling out of hair) by deleting /Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/DigiDioMidiDrivera.plugin, which is only for 002/003 interfaces, so you don't need it for LE.
