Live wont read my AKAI MPD26 ?

Hey I was wonderin if u guys could help me out,

I just got a brand new AKAI MPD26, installed evrything (Live 8.2.7) and followed all the instructions. When I go to midi sync prefrences I use MPD24 as the Control surface and AKAI MPD26 as the I/O, all the track and remote buttons are on, but theres highlighted orange writing on the I/O?. I also tried none as my control suface and put none for I/O and the writings clear, but whenever I use any of the controls on the MPD, Live dosnt read it? no clue wat is goin on? been at this for way too long could sumone giv me sum advice, much appreciated!

I think the I/O is suppose to be yellow. Do you have the monitor set to 'In' or 'Auto'?
