I've got everything hooked up to the monitors ports with the one thunderbolt cable going to the airbook and it's so easy to just grab the laptop and go. the only thing I wish is that there was like a 30ft thunderbolt cable so I could have it reach from one side of the room to the other but basically it doesn't get any simpler than this.

Re: iPad
thanks knuckleheads, the view from this Monitor is truly sweet, pairing the airbook with the display is like having the best of both worlds.

Re: iPad
omg no sooner than a few minutes after I type that message out of the blue, for no apparent reason, for the first time in 2 days, the thunderbolt display cuts out goes completely black.
my airbook sitting right to the left of the monitor stays on. I was in the middle of an email and nothing changed on the laptop, nothing froze, everything fine, but the monitor just goes bye bye........ didn't make a sound I might add, not even a whisper when it went black.
so my question is wtf ?
as far as I can tell there isn't even an on/off switch on this thing, I have no idea what happened. so I restarted the macbook and the monitor came back like nothing but what's up with that?

You got the 27" monitor?
I don't know about the on/off button on the thing. On the iMac there's a button on the back in the bottom left corner.

I'm going to write them a strongly worded letter berating them for trying to turn iPad thread favorite H2Only into a total tool by association. I have your back, big guy!
just because you're not used to the menus that pop up when you right click and you're always finding yourself looking for the command button when your at work... you attack my phone... you should be ashamed... because - i don't have that model.
my phone kicks ass!
i would have should it to you at the comedy club but you couldn't find a sitter. pffft!

i never expected this kind of lash out attack from you.

I thought you said your phone was 4G. HTC isn't verbally pooping on just the 4G model shown in the picture but their entire line of 4G phones to date.
But if you're happy with your phone then I'm happy for you.
But certain facts just need to be unapologetically posted in this thread.
Re: iPad
seriously beats i dug around that tiny little article and some of the links from it and i can't find any complaints about my phone... and i don't have any myself really.
battery life sucks but are you getting more than a day out of an iPhone? if you are
back on the flip side, i can buy a bigger battery. can you?
mere millimeters (the answer to your retort).

Your 27" Thunderbolt Display was likely upset by you addressing its sibling by the wrong name. That very well could have been Steve momentarily shutting you down from beyond. But it wasn't happy Steve, it was angry Steve. Do not upset angry Steve again. Things could get bad. You could wake up in Foxconn one day, behaving like that.
Your computer is a MacBook Air. Branding, son. It follows you home and lives in your house. Respect it.
