Hello,
Arrangment view should look like this :
- Background color for waveforms and Midi events
- alternate colors for tracks (grey luminosity variation)
- Groups dedicated color
- Returns and Master dedicated color.

Maybe for you, but it's a big problem for those who come from other Daws. I come from Protools, the lack of waveform background color and tracks contrast is very painful to me.

Yeah i hate to say this but i come from FL Studio and i love there playlist or..'arrangement view' better. I like the ableton one. but i think that it should definitely have the features that rotoboy said, just make it easier on the eyes
btw clip view is perfect.

on Windows. on a Mac it's iRapey.
you can change the skins in Live. maybe you could find one that is a little easier for you to look at.

I think I have already tried all the skins available on the web.... but this is only colors changes (it's normal...), not what I want.

Muzik 4 Machines,
Yes! How do you do that?
My main wish for Ableton 9 is to make a sexier (optional) interface. The current one is like looking at an asphalt road. This is 2012, not 1980!
And the splash screen is a shocker! I like Studio One's start screen - graceful and useful.

YES
Good call. All I'd add is some form of proper metering in Arrangement View. At least let us see peak dB for the different tracks please! It's annoying having to always set levels in Session View.

careful. people are going to think it's a new DAW and have a 36+ page thread complete with conspiracy theories. it only takes a .jpeg or 2...
