Copying Slices between Drum Racks

Post by kately » Thu Feb 09, 2012 5:19 am

Copy/paste does work when I use ctrl+ drag but is there really no more efficient way to do this?
Most of the posts I could find were pretty old ....so perhaps I'm missing some new improvement?
I have 8.2.7
Thanks!

you wanna copy midi datas or the sample? click on a drum rack pad, select the sample (every drum rack pad is a simpler) and drag this to another drum rack. its not possible to drag the pad itself to copy the sample :(

i'm not trying to drag the pad. i'm wondering why dragging is necessary and cmnd + c is not possible. my hand is pretty exhausted from the dragging, i.e. dragging is a major drag.

Like evengy said you can copy the instance of simpler that lies in the pad but cannot copy the pd itself, if you use cmd x or ctrl x to cut then go to the new drum rack, open up the devices list and paste in there.

you will then have to open up i/o's and choose what note u want to trigger the simpler device.
