If they really don't give a fuck then they really should just call it Livelier (Daves idea)

8+9=17

17 (seventeen) is the natural number following 16 and preceding 18. It is prime.

I love Live but will switch to something else if the following problems aren't fixed

1. The ability to have groups inside of a group
2. The computer usage efficiency
3. And the sound engine (it has a certain sound to it). I have tried Studio One and its sound engine is much better.

Again I love Live, but if a program like Bitwig has a similar work flow and fixes the issues that Live has, I will not hesitate to jump ship.

no matter what will be in the next Live version, Ableton as a company should really provide us with ANY info about the future of Live (just something besides "we're working on it). I find it really disrespectfull to the customers and some kind of childish behaviour....

man it's been 3 years...

Is Reaper's work flow on par with Ableton's? Ableton has been the only daw that clicked with me from day one. The other daws were like rocket science for me.

^ no.

@ fisto - your comment just illustrates the point. you imply Live doesn't work as expected and you sing the praises of Reaper. so why are you still worried about Live? according to you its a clunky piece of shit that can't hold a torch to the awesomeness that is Reaper. i'm honestly at a loss as to why you are interested at all in Ableton's release of Live 9 unless you're hoping that it's buggy so that you can post [more] about Reaper. :?

@skallawa: it's more complicated (expecially the initial setup and customization) but then it's blazingly fast and provides a ridculous fast workflow compared to even Live.

@H20: stop trolling bitch. We can talk tech-issues if you want, but not this unmature stuff like you seem to wanna discuss.
btw: i use Live for.....wait for it.....LIVE-GIGS, what a surprise ha?
And let me tell you that some people in the world use more than one software for their work.....hmm, they must be geniuses compared to you, who is obviously a massive Fanboy-Troll who can't even imagine people using more than one audio-software and talking about pros and cons of them.

Does Reaper have a looper kind of function? I can't leave without looper. I usually use it to find the tempo of the piece that I am working on.

no, there is no such thing as looper in Reaper. there are other ways of looping (but it's more a workaround and I never tried it, as I don't need live-looping at the moment).
