not happy with the apc 40
APC 40 going out on me. Is anyone having trouble with the volume faders? They dont move on the screen until you go all the up or all the way down on the physical fader. So when you are mixing it up, thrown off you will become, thinking that the fader got your back, and all of a sudden it spikes because I push it up all the way. Then it catches up. Plus my top arrow to navigate the screen on my apc 40 went out. I prefer the launchpad. Bombproof, and everlasting. Anyway, how do i get these faders, so that when I touch them they react on the screen immediately.
I have my apc 40 in the control surface under the miki sync in preferences, but its not showing op in the input and output tabs. How do i get it to show up there. I have all the drivers for the apc 40 and its all connected. Any ideas?

turn your takeover mode to "none" in midi sync preferences? Not sure exactly what you're describing, but it might have something to do with being in takeover or value scaling mode or something. Just a wild guess though, I think I could be misdiagnosing, but it's worth checking into.

and Live puts all the audio stuff ahead in priority over the GUI. if your computer has shared video RAM that might cause this, or just not enough RAM in general.
been using the APC since it came out, it's totally smooth for me. I love that thing, I also have a Launch Pad, it's great but the APC IMO is such a general controller I favor it over the LP.

I've had 2 faders crap out. If it's not your "takeover" preferences, then it's a bogus fader. You can buy a replacement at MPC Stuff.com. They are simple to replace even if you have amateur soldering skills.
