Live 9.0 - What and When?????

Re: Live 9.0 - What and When?????
hmm the thing with non beta in the bets section was also back as 8.2.1 was released so i would not trust on that - maybe they will put later up a 8.2.9 beta
atm im fine with 8.2.2 and 8.2.8 now - works pretty good imo ...
but at least i hope they will spend us a new version soon - "VERSION 9"
and i hope they will keep it dongle free ...

Good point! I hope sohipdeejay wrote:Im willing to wager that Live 9 will be released very soon. Here's why:
Normally at the top of this forum the Abes have a thread "current Live beta 8.2.8b" etc.
Currently there is no Live 8 beta. Which MUST imply that Live 8.2.8 is the final Live 8 version.
Therefore Live 9 is almost ready!
Just my observation. For what its worth

not sure that i will stay with ableton, but even if i were sure of that: if it was with a dongle, i would leave ableton without hesitation.

Nope! Whenever a new stable release comes out of beta they're usually missing the next beta for about a week at least maybe before the next b1 comes.hipdeejay wrote:Im willing to wager that Live 9 will be released very soon. Here's why:

Re: Live 9.0 - What and When?????
so either you throw money down on a beta or you throw money at ableton for a new release which is most likely equally badly managed as live 8 complete with features being withdrawn and whatnots.shadx312 wrote:I'm throwing money down on another beta coming.
either way, sounds like a win to me.

Re: Live 9.0 - What and When?????
why people keep asking about live 9? if you can't make music with ableton live 8 then you have a problem....back then ppl were using 4 track recorders or atari's.
Re: Live 9.0 - What and When?????
save money again with an upgrade till 29 feb. (ableton.com)
i smell live 9 air
@gizmo
a few features means more fun, faster editing and many many more. i never read that´s not possible to make music with live 1-8
its only more fun and faster which makes it easier (i hope
) and easier means more fun and faster editing so it will be more fun
maybe a few guys are making more music because its more fun and faster editing. when its more fun and faster editing so its easier. when its easier......

Regarding to "9": Many reasons have been posted here many times... Ableton did all to train us to "need" an upgrade on yearly basis (others call that marketing). So I'm not wondering at all, that many of us are waiting for at least two years now.

I think we are going to have to wait until every single Live user agrees that L8 is stable in all circumstances. Right down to that angry kid in Belarus with his homebuilt windows 98 box, knock-off soundblasterPro clone and a beta-version crack of Massive.
Only when that guy is happy will we get a new version!
can't we just save everyone some time and kill that last guy?

Hey Angstrom,
don't become depressive! - It rumours out here, that a new Live version is already in closed/silent beta. Don't know if that's really true, but I think it can't take too long anymore. And if not so, we may can have an intensive Bitwig-testing. And I will carry on with Studio One in the meanwhile, if there's nothing happening til Musikmesse.
