HELP - AKAI MPKmini Not working at all

Hello!

Bought from a friend an AkaiMpk mini. Used once, working fine. Today, I plug it in and Ableton won't recognize it at all. Really, at all! I get no sounds out of it, it won't even recognize it as a Midi device.

Any ideas? Please?

Try a different USB cable.

Hi, thanks for the help, but still nothing. The lights were also on with the other cable, but ableton seems not to be recognizing the MPKmini at all - it doesn't receive any midi input signals.

I also discovered that mi MacBook (osx 10.6. is not recognizing it as plugged with any of the cables so I don' think it has something to do with ableton anymore - it must be something form teh iOs or the dongle. The problem seems to be happening also in windows since a couple of weeks but no one (not even Akai) seem to have an explanantion.

I was using it extensively a couple of weeks ago without any problem. This same Keyboard. So I really don't know wahr is the problem.

Any Ideas anyone? Thanks anyway!

I"m kind of stumped on this one. My brother has one of those and it works fine. Since its not working on 2 seperate computers I don't know what to say.

But that's the really funny thing... IT's the SAME COmputer!! We were using it the whole time on mine! He bought it but never used it, we started to do some stuff together and each time I plugged it, it went fine. Yesterday I took it home and it was dead. It's pretty strange.
