OSC!!
Live needs a lot of stuff more than support for a standard no one uses yet... see the other threads in here but I would vote for better midi editing and also an arpeggiator midi plugin.
I think Live is very good about not adding gratuitous features -- I don't think Live needs to be a trailblazer in this area. But hey, if they can add it in a way that doesn't complicate the interface for non-OSC users then great.

Live 5.2.2 / Firewire 1814 / Nord Lead / Yamaha AN1x / P2K
OSC is the next MIDI
PLEASE add OSC support in the next version of Live. I have plenty of trouble getting apps to sync using MIDI clock - I think OSC is the solution for all of our syncing woes.
Needs it, should have it asap, blaze the trail to the future ableton
(thats a yes vote)

OSC and live are the most obvious pairing since beer and... er, more beer.
i realize that people use the program for different purposes, but please, be forgiving, and allow me to pipe up for "jammers" - nothing out there would work as well for group performances as OSC, and that's just bearing the MIDI and UDP messaging in mind. if and when the audio side of it matures and is supported, it'll be even more compelling.
the prospect of rocking out live with three or four other Livers, all in sync with each other and communicating via a convenient text broadcast {"let's slow it down", "let's drop the drums after four bars", "jason, your fly's wide open"} is titillating.

Would love to have a Lemur controller, that are Osc only, working straight away with Live.

an emerging standard for controllers that has numerous advantages over MIDI:
no latency, higher data capacity, 32-bit numerical precision, and easy configurability
Not exactly right, if you can afford the Lemur, it's 2000 €, you can use it for Midi communication too. The JazzEditor from JazzMutant (the very same french company that produces the Lemur) transfers Lemur's OSC messages to Midi, so you can control any Midi controllable app with the Lemur. I'll get mine this summer. Still Midi will suck by its 128 steps however.Hervé wrote:Would love to have a Lemur controller, that are Osc only, working straight away with Live.
So OSC is my vote for sure!
I'd like to bet it'll be in Live 6 and would give away my UC-33, if I loose. Anyone? Any really useful gear welcome
