I have had great success with the Belkin Ultraslim 4-port USB hub. $30 from best buy (little expensive but worth it imho)

I DO NOT recommend the Belkin swivel 4-port hub, it constantly disconnects your devices.

Hi Putenbrust

If you open up the SampleDeck X2 group track you will see all the data tracks I used (in dark grey).
Can you check if the "Light..." tracks still send their data to your Launchpad?
Because if you have multiple devices/Launchpads it is possible you have to adjust the routing in some cases.
I have "Launchpad Output (Launchpad)" and "Launchpad (Port 2)" as available outs for both my Launchpads for example.
If your routing is correct, the text of the midi outputs should be black. If not it will be light grey.

Hope this helps, your description is really pointing out to me that your routing of these data "Light" tracks is incorrect at the moment.
Hi! Just wanted to drop a quick thanks for your help. It actually was a problem with the Routing, silly me. Now everything works just fine. Your dedication and support towards the community is outstanding!

Best wishes,

Awesome work sir!! Looking forward to start using your Trigger X app, looks sweet!

I have a question though...

Let's say that I want to incorporate your Sampledeck INTO an existing DJ template.

I'm using a Novation nocturn to trigger effects, and of course using the crossfader to switch between Deck A and B. I'm using the A & B routing on the bottom of each track...

Since you already have your crossfader set on the launchpad, is there a way of merging both together?

Here's a screenshot of my current setup:

Hi Madureira

Unfortunately you can't drag in one of my apps into another live set without losing the midi mappings.
Live doesn't allow you to import midi mappings, so you can only get it working when using my original .als files.
I hope they'll change that in Live 9, making presets of midi mappings for devices would be a good feature.
This is really annoying (I know!) but this is how Ableton works at the moment :(

The best thing you can do is drag your own set into SampleDeck X2 not the other way around.
If you mapped some stuff into your own live set, you will have to remap that.
But I'm quite sure there are way more complex midi mappings in my apps so you really don't want to remap all of my mappings ;)

If you do that, you can assign the XF to the Nocturn instead of the Launchpad.
Next, you can choose the version with the sends to assign A or B or in your case maybe it's easier to use the 'Manual Routing' (MR) version.
The MR version requires you to manually assign the routing of each track (instead of using send A and B) to SD1 or SD2, just like you do right now by selecting A or B.

Hope that helps!

cool setup btw :D

Thanks a lot Aurex!

I'm going to do two different templates, one with the sample deck, and another with the TriggerX.

Great work!

I'll try to post some videos later on.

Oh and thanks for the comments on my setup...I love my toys!
