APC40 clip launch...

Post by 2ach » Wed Feb 22, 2012 7:45 pm

So the APC40 (by default) launches clips only on down beats (as in-- say you press the the button on beat three, the clip always launches on beat 1). I was wondering, if possible, how you can change this to where you can launch a clip on any given beat.

Not sure if this can only be done on a launchpad, but this is basically what I'm talking about.

Could someone explain how this is done?

Turn global quantize to None. It's up top, to the right of the Play/Stop/Record buttons.

Or:

Click the clip you want to be able to launch whenever, and at the bottom, in the detail view of the clip, click the little L button on the left. Here you change the quantization per clip.
