why are media files missing

I recently dumped all my projects onto a harddrive to make space on my computer. about 40 gigs worth. ever since i've been having nothing but problems. alot of my tunes say media files are missing, and i dont know why. it has to do with drum racks where i sliced a section of a sample. if i drop the whole original sample on it it doesnt sound the same since i used only a part of the sample for the slice. where have my edited samples gone? this has really ruined my day, i guess i should save drum racks immediately now, but sometimes i only want a rack for one song, i'm not really gonna use it again. any help is appreciated.

Should have done a "Collect All and Save" for all your sets before you moved anything.
