Why can I not MIDI map the tempo?

All i want to do is map the tempo in the top left corner of ableton's session view...it will not let me select it to map it...how do you map the tempo?

yep, just doesnt "activate" the button when i click on the tempo box like it does for everything else. for example, in mapping mode the other buttons glow purple then kind of get outlined in black when you click them (before moving a fader/button/pot/etc.), but this does not happen for the tempo

weird, sorry i think someone else will have to help you...i get things like that sometimes, then they 'go away'

what control surface? might be a clue to someone...maybe scripted to send toggles instead of ranges

yeah i guess i'll call tech support later maybe. i've tried with three different controllers so i dont think thats the problem
