Emperor would be closer to something you could possibly get into though. That and Darkthrone, depending on who's playing in it.

Slightly outside of Black Metal, Folk Metal has a lot of the trappings of Prog Rock, with a small handful of decent songs.

Yeah I kinda guessed our musical paths cross about where Animals As Leaders, 80's-90's King Krimson, the My Life in the Bush of Hosts record, and earlier Peter Gabrial intersect.
That to me anyway is the type of classically trained music that really moves things along. Discipline is still one of my all time favorite records! Not a dud on it!

I have just noticed that another thread devoted to racist innuendo and taunts has accidentally been 'bumped' to the top of the list. This cannot be allowed, hence this post.

So...meanwhile, in other news, the New Serfs (no, not a boy band...the people formally known as the Greek Working Class...GWC ) are settling in to their new life of servitude and some of them...just the few privileged digital artist types, maybe are asking themselves "should I risk everything and seek asylum in Germany where I could work for Ableton to resurrect that once great software company from the ignominious depths whence they have plunged...". you know what's going on in the UK right? They are making the poor foot the bill. Very wealthy politicians are telling the poorest people to tighten their belts, cutting child benefit and other welfare, and making unemployed people work at Tesco for free in order to get their benefits.

What is most infuriating is the Lib Dems have empowered the tories to do all this, and they were meant to be the left wing "socialist" party. Nobody is surprised the Tories shaft the poor, but the Lib Dems were supposed to be the alternative to all that.

Yes, your comments are exactly why I started this topic. It was not just about Greece, but the more widespread issue of governments being the 'tax collector for the rich' wherein the poorer people (the masses) are being forced to pay the bill for the bailouts of the rich and the corporate world (mainly banks). This insidious process of making people feel that they (us) are somehow partly responsible for the mess and that we have to 'do the right thing' and tighten our belts etc...makes my blood boil!

Oh and my quip about England/Great Britain was a reference to the Scottish bid for independence, which would make for a less great britain. (I have Scot's heritage )
