It's great that Live has the external fx and external instrument plugins.. but unfortunately the midi clock sync isn't compensated at all so adding any latency inducing plugins will cause you to have to realign your clock sync for each of your outgoing midi delay offsets in preferences. Not a lot of fun! Perhaps the midi clock sync should be set by default in time with what's entered in the external effect/inst plugin while allowing the option to override it? They should both be in sync for most purposes, not set to different values. That -strictDelayCompensation hack should also be looked at be able to toggle for individusal instruments ideally or at the very least in preferences menu. When you have a track armed for making live tweaks or playing back arpeggiators you certainly don't want that going in and out of time with arming of the track.
It's also not great that when using the external fx/inst plugin tracking mono sources it records them to a stereo file doubling HDD consumption.
Oh, and I'm sure you guys must already be on top of automation curves. I hope.
