This is not grammer forum "real" noob. Try to start calling someone "noob" in the Language studying forum instead of acting like authoritarian in a software forum. You are not so special that you don't have to use that large text to make yourself stand out. I'll read what I want when I have time to.

My first thought was wtf is this. But then again people tend to be against any change. If it's not good, I will just simply turn the widgets (or whatever) off. Still, I like the idea that Microsoft is trying something different.

A big I don't care for me.

I only worry about the OS when I'm ready to buy a new computer. Never been into climbing aboard the upgrade train, heck I still use Reason 2.5 and a Mac running Tiger 8)

They wouldn't be able to come up with anything until someone else does first anyway...

Please elaborate. Who has done Windows 8 before Microsoft?

You two stop, nothing is done in a vacuum, and it's more of a question as to why they would follow Lions "lead" in this case. I hate Lion and Windows 8 on site.
Snow Leopard and Windows 7 4lyfe!!! \m/

Just thought I'd feedback my experience of windows 8.
First thought was metro was quirky but then it freaks you out when your looking for something that used to be on the start menu. Very much used to it now and i can see how it will be better once more apps are launched for the platform.
I had a problem where the audio service wouldn't start. Seems to be a problem with the installer. Solution is on the Microsoft answers site.
Performance wise though its amazing, my 7 year old XP machine is running my live sets with a 50% reduction in CPU. Live also loads up so much faster almost instant. I've got everything up and running that i had in XP except my Xone 2D which has a conflicting driver with my webcam. Which is ok as i don't have any bookings for a while so plenty of time to get it sorted.

So it loads Live quicker, but runs your sets at a 50% higher cpu load than XP? Am I understanding that correctly?

Why Microsoft and Apple trippin? I would gladly use OSX Panther if it was supported.
Hate this fucking arms race.

Do you get touch screen features running Live on Windows 8?

Will Windows 8 turn Live into a touchable application?

It would be cool if someone could post a YouTube video running Live on Windows 8.
