You should consider asking the state for a refund. The education system has clearly failed you.pencilrocket wrote:Just ask refund for the false ad.

Asking is far better way than trying to sue. Don't bring USA's arrogant way into the other part of the world.djadonis206 wrote:You should consider asking the state for a refund. The education system has clearly failed you.pencilrocket wrote:Just ask refund for the false ad.
Re: Thoughts on Ableton Live 9 and Share
my thoughts as well... if they don't bring anything new to the table..pepezabala wrote:what would "share" do that using dropbox doesn't deliver free and easy?
might as well add "dropbox"/"soundcloud" buttons.. it's adequate imo..
to save us 2 less clickidy clicks...
and buy Ableton some advertising space..more funds to continue..

Serious about what? I don't care whether there is share or not.

Yea for me. But some people are already caught in false advertising. What can you suggest them then?

Ironically Share would bring warez noob to buy software to get Share authorization.
Re: Thoughts on Ableton Live 9 and Share
... only to discover there is no 'share'! only a soundcloud button
poor warez noob...

Re: Thoughts on Ableton Live 9 and Share
Share updated projects as they changed, which is better than dropbox...Or would be of it actually existed...
I still love using Live, but I kinda dislike Ableton, their silence, and their lack of bringing anything new to the table. If Studio One had a session view, I think I'd stop using Live... Very curious about Bitwig. Share was a big deal for me and my dj partner, and it's absence pissed me off... Still does.

Re: Thoughts on Ableton Live 9 and Share
hehe kinda amazed how this got turned into a warez thread by someone... look; if I hadn't bought Live, I sure as hell wouldn't feel so strongly on the subject... I feel strongly about this issue cause it was one of the reasons I bought Live; not because I downloaded it off some site or other
Anyways, back on topic please... I take back everything about lawsuits or whatnot; I'm not proud of that post really... I realize that I would have a pretty weak case cause Ableton never really told anyone what the share feature was going to be... I'm pretty sure they would win just by saying what has already been said in this thread "just upload your live set to dropbox" and whatnot.. my point though is that Ableton promoted the Share feature as a way to seamlessly share your sets from within Live and work with musicians from around the world. I'm pretty sure they weren't more specific than this; my problem with this issue is that they have publicly announced that they are "still working on it". If they are not, and this soundcloud integration is *it*, then at least publically say so.. I'm not looking for a refund so it was wrong to go down that alley, I just want to bring the Share feature back on the agenda seeing as they are still, 2 years down the road, awfully quite about the whole subject... I personally have no no idea how a share function would work; but Ableton *have* said that they have a new solution... and to be honest, finding out how its gonna work isn't my job
On a side note, Bitwig seems to market collaboration as one if its major selling points... it sure looks interesting, though I'm gonna be a bit more skeptical about "hype" talk next time I purchase a DAW .. I second the post above though: I'm annoyed at the silence and the lack of information.

Re: Thoughts on Ableton Live 9 and Share
[quote="llamaza"]Same here. Share funcionality was the main reason to get Live. Before they realease the 9 version they must give us Share.[/one of the top selling points for me was share and the looper. looper plays back random buffers for me, including random CLEARED buffers. still.
the share feature was an integrated share feature, not just a saved mouseclick from dropbox, which is not even close to what share was even in it's buggy state. btw, i really wished they would have announced share as a not RTM product, and a beta instead of a major flagship feature.
