hahaha that was really funny! Love how everything has to be turned into acronyms hehe.... thanks for clarifying; I totally missed that jokecotdagoo wrote:Sorry.. bit of an inside joke there (see: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=178091)kristian wrote:hehe kinda amazed how this got turned into a warez thread by someone... look; if I hadn't bought Live, I sure as hell wouldn't feel so strongly on the subject... I feel strongly about this issue cause it was one of the reasons I bought Live; not because I downloaded it off some site or other![]()

Just curious, what did 'share' do that you can't do with Dropbox? I only ask as I came to Live much later so I never knew what they promised. I work with 4 other people and we currently just use a dropbox and collect and save. So far, it works REALLY well. Also, with dropbox, the history of your files are saved as well, like Time Machine, and I've used this to recover things.

Share: Probably a casualty of the economy. I still haven't upgraded to Live 8. -- Recent changes in my producing ability, style, and direction have gottan me interested in Cubase 6.5 and what might be coming in Live 9.
Live is an awesome program, and I'd like to see what v9 brings. Live 9 has competition this time around.
I think DAWS compete with eachother; less on price; more on features, workflow, and the time each producer would like to invest in learning curves.
I've already learned Cubase, so buying 6.5 is not a stretch for me. However, what do I like more? Cubase or Ableton? Ableton...
Where I'm at right now? I'm using more traditional instruments, guitars, basses.. recording drummers, and vocals... Then editiing the audio that comes with that. So.. Thats where I'm at right now.
I'm not even sure Sonar X1 can compete with Cubase 6.5. Certainly Pro Tools competes with Cubase 6.5
I hope to see Live 9 as being on the Cubase and Pro Tools Level.
