all right. so i am having a problem. when I'm mastering, and I have a limiter on the master channel, I will dial the limiter into the spot with the loudest hits attenuating the limiter, the master channel will say what ever I have the output limit set to. but then I will go to bounce down the track and when I run the unwarped master through ableton, it will be redlining above zero. I'm not sure why I'm having this issue... doesnt make sense to me. It happens when i use the ableton limiter, ozones maximizer, or waves multimaximizer...
any advice anyone?
thanks
Master level peaking issues.
Re: Master level peaking issues.
Where are your faders at? There's also a fader in the warp screen to adjust. Any type of warping: repitch, complex, beats, etc. can cause your mastered tracks to peak above 0 when brought back into Live. Are you leaving at least 0.2dbs of headroom on your masters?
Re: Master level peaking issues.
Render it again but set the limiter to -0.3db
Does it still go into the red?
edit- just noticed vios already said about leaving a bit of headroom, so just ignore this.
